We recently posted a video on Diplo from Intel and Vice’s Creators Project. Well here is their latest mini-doc on Fool’s Gold and it’s founders, A-Trak, Nick Catchdubs and Dust La Rock. The video briefly chronicles Fool’s Gold from inception to it’s current success by sitting down with the guys in their Brooklyn offices. Their vision has parlayed into a roster of successful artists spanning various genres, a unique visual identity and a presence in the art world. Despite their success the Fool’s Gold guys are nothing if not more ambitious as they aspire to take things to the next level with “more ducks” – signing new artists, releasing new singles, booking more shows and designing more merchandise.

A few weeks ago we talked about Major Lazor’s new EP that Diplo was working on while in Jamaica. As it turns out, that wasn’t the only project that the DJ/producer was working on while in the Caribbean. In the interview below from The Creators Project, we get an insight into just how hard of a worker Diplo really is. It’s inspirational to see Diplo’s view on music and just how powerful it is. From his production work, to the outreach that his label Mad Decent has, its obvious that Diplo very rarely takes time off from doing what he loves. His thoughts on the diversity of music and what he can accomplish working beyond any single genre or one form of media are a great examples of what inspired Type Hype Music. Check it out.

Check out this video of Chiddy freestyling in a recent meeting at Translation Marketing Agency, owned by Jay Z and Steve Stout. What was meant to just be a quick flow to show off his talent turned into a 7 min freestyle. Xaphoon dropped some insane beats, producing on the spot on his lap top and Chiddy killed it. It’s pretty amusing to see this go down in a board room full of “suits” pretending to appreciate hip hop. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it over and over again, watch out for this duo, Chiddy Bang will blow up. Check out a couple of tracks from past mixtapes.
